June

Brennan and Isla joined our local Barracudas swim team this summer, which is new for all of us.

Snake at the bus stop.

Kellan and Coach Mom.  We had a fun final session with our Cheetahs and look forward to another great season in the Fall!

Our clematis finally bloomed!!  It's taken two years to figure out that rabbits have been eating every clematis that I attempt to grow in the backyard, but now we have a good rabbit spray and we finally saw some blooms.  I was overjoyed!

Besties.

View through the top of the bird house: the eggs hatched!  I think these are wrens.

Fun times at field day!  Here is Brennan at my water cannon station.

Planning Isla's end of the year class party and taking pictures for our art project.  1st grade already??

The Barracudas.

Road trip to Chapel Hill for Eli and Rachel's wedding.

 Rehearsal dinner.

Sleepy peepies.

Cooling off, southern style.

Wedding time!

Married!

It was very, very hot, but the wedding was beautiful and there were lots of fun activities to enjoy.  Like feeding the goats,

jumbo Jenga,

and corn hole.

Aunt Dara and Uncle Pace.

Isla's soccer team wrapped up the season with a party at Cici's Pizza.

Last day of school!

We went out for ice cream to celebrate.

A fun day trip with friends to Cunningham Falls.

Brazen rabbit hanging out on the front walk.

Planning the first lemonade stand of Summer.

Patrick being a good sport and supervising (on his birthday no less!)

Lazy days, when your biggest challenge is how to choose evenly matched kickball teams.

Happy Birthday Patrick!!!

We love you!

Reading with Oma in the shade.

Nothing says "Happy Father's Day!" like a fierce game of bocce ball.

Father's Day snuggles.

We have fewer opportunities for car naps during the Summer, but Isla was patient and we managed to make one happen.

A sad bedtime for Kellan once he realized that "yesterday is gone" and he can't get it back.

Swim team fun.

Isla in the orange cap.

We have a new bike rider in the family!

Painting a butterfly house for our butterfly garden.
