Grandma and Grandpa Colella came out for a visit this month and we were so happy to have our first guests. After overcoming their jetlag, they rallied and we took a trip to nearby Wassenberg to enjoy the "Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum"; our local Renaissance festival.
On Sunday we drove to Koeln to visit the Schokoladenmuseum. It happened to be "Museum Day" in Koeln so admission was free. We had lunch in the museum cafe and dined on Spargel, (white asparagus), which is in season here and very good.
We took the Colellas on some of our favorite walks around town. Here is the town church with the town Maibaum in front, as well as some miniature ponies, which are very popular here.
