On August 6th at 8:37 am we welcomed our daughter, Isla Marie, into the world. She was 8 lbs. 12 oz., 20.5 in., healthy and beautiful. Here are some photos from those first special days:
Last belly shot. Here I am between contractions, waiting to head downstairs to the delivery room. This is an hour and a half before she was born.
Brand new. I delivered on a mat on the floor due to a broken tailbone sustained in a bad fall two days prior to Isla's birth and had to be lifted into the bed afterward. Patrick supported me the whole time and I was so grateful to have him to hang on to.
