Reading time on the deck.
They melt my heart sometimes.
Here we are berry picking; one of my favorite activities! We headed out on a hot morning with our child field laborers in tow to help bring in some blueberries. The bushes were young but we still had a pretty good haul.
Working hard.

Hardly working.
Some hot and tired berry pickers waiting to catch the return wagon. We ended up hoofing it just get out of the heat faster.
Cooling off and enjoying a picnic of pb&js, raisins and cheese sticks in the shade.
We had enough to put up 2 batches of jam and make a blueberry peach crumble. Yum!
Brennan took swim lessons for two weeks and had fun practicing his new skills on our family pool trips. He loves being in the water.
Isla also loves the water and has been quick to follow Brennan's lead in blowing bubbles and putting her face in.
Brennan's favorite pool activity is jumping in.
