A New Year

We started off the new year right: with family,

and new friends,

and old friends,

and homemade pizza,

and bedtime sweetness,

and winter weather,

with a touch of attitude,

but not too much.

We accessorized,

and enjoyed each other,

and snuggled up for movie nights,

and "made" new friends.

We started new projects,

made some headway,

had a perfect lunch date on a snow day,

wore other people's shoes,

created masterpieces,

and sometimes looked exactly like Daddy.  (Not pictured: a month-long cold, some stomach bugs, bitterly cold weather, multiple vats of chicken noodle soup and lots of hot chocolate.)
