The Easter Bunny managed to find us in Heidelberg, and Brennan was very excited to wake up to an easter basket of goodies in our hotel room. There's nothing like a little chocolate to start off your day!
On Sunday morning we met the McLallens at Schloss Schwetzingen, or "The Versailles of Germany," and spent the morning touring the gardens and some of the outbuildings. The gardens were extensive and are probably amazing when they are in full bloom. Everything was just starting to bud when we were there, but it was still very pretty.
Here are the mosque and the bath house. Photos were not allowed in the bath house, and large felt clogs were provided to protect the floors, which was fun. Free buffing!
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and gave us a taste of home. Patrick worked his usual magic for the family self-portrait, and you can even see the little daffodil fields in the background. Brennan was on his last leg but we pushed him for a few more photos before we headed in search of food.

This is what a Bean meltdown looks like. Very sad, but......
After a nice hot lunch in the castle cafe and an hour and 15 minutes of talking to himself in the car, he took an awesome, and apparently very relaxing nap! He's a trooper and a pretty darn good traveler for a 2 year old.
