We finally got to dance aound a maypole!! Bennan's krabbelgueppe celebated a belated May Day last Thursday, complete with a mini maypole and a green apple juice concoction spiced with Waldmeister (sweet woodruff.) Apparently this is traditionally used to season Maiwein (May wine), but I guess for the under 5 set apple juice is peferred. I was so thrilled to finally see a taditional maypole dance, and since Brennan really couldn't have cared less I got to participate quite a bit.
