The day after Brennan's birthday party we launched into holiday mode. Patrick was leaving on Brennan's actual birthday, the 4th, for two weeks with the Reserves so we needed to get our tree up. We headed out to the tree farm to pick a winner. Brennan was entrusted with the saw.
Isla was still sporting her eye black from the party.
My little lumberjacks.
We had some help with the decorating.
We still had some birthday celebrating to do for our special 6 year old.
A rousing game of head bandz.
Another day of b-day fun.
Brennan was so excited about the ripstik we gave him.
Isla put in some time practicing on the Laufrad.
Brennan starting out on the ripstik. Balancing on it is tricky but Brennan was very focused and made good progress.
After some hard work he was doing pretty well!
Grandpa introduced Kellan to the scooter and now he wants to ride it all the time. He sort of looks like he's on a segway, although he does try to use a foot to scoot now and then.
Even more b-day fun; snuggling and reading with Oma. What a busy week!
