A Cozy Start

2014 got off to a cozy start with a little insulation project.  We packed two Prii to the max with the rented Atticat blower, 10 bags of compacted insulation and 100 feet of hose.  Apparently the Home Depot guy was skeptical, but you should never underestimate the Prius!

Highlights of the project included headlamps,

face masks, and walkie talkies.  If that doesn't sound like fun then I don't know what does!  Patrick recommends this as one of the easiest, most fun, do-it-yourself home maintenance projects.  It was timely as well; the temperature plummeted that night and our heat didn't have to kick on as often to keep the house warm.

The kids helped Papa on the loading end while Patrick stayed in the attic spraying.

Kellan enjoyed some playtime with Grams.

We decided to try a little dance class for Isla on days that Brennan will be participating in an indoor soccer clinic.  She was pretty excited to try on her leotard!

I looked over and saw the boys catching up on the latest issue of Family Circle.  Brennan can be such a sweet big brother.

I was a little bit nervous that Isla would balk at actually dancing at her class, but she loved it!

We pruned some of our trees recently and created this teepee with the cuttings.  It stayed up for most of a week, which I'm sure the neighbors loved.

Brennan lost another tooth!  This one was up top and came out during lunch.  What a big-boy smile he has now!

Isla and Elena; such sweeties!
