This & That

We're having quite the winter for snow days and delayed openings this year, which means lots of family time hanging out at home.  Here is Kellan on a recent snow day, jealously watching his siblings playing outside.

Isla is loving her dance class so far.

Yet another "Kellan in a basket" photo. He's a funny kid.

Isla's hair is so long when it's wet!

Brennan was recently presented with a citizenship award at school!  The kids were supposed to hear their names called on the morning announcements and then head to an awards ceremony in the cafeteria.  Brennan is in p.m. kindergarten so I told him that he was allowed to bring his family in that day to hear the announcements as a sort of treat, and the librarian let us watch with her.  This is his face when he heard his name called.

Each child got a pastry, and Brennan even gave his sister a bite.

He was awarded for being responsible and helpful in class.  We're so proud of him!

Patrick was recently out for a weekend in Norfolk followed by 5 days in Greensboro, so we tried to make the most of his weekend home.  We've had some recent interest in dinosaurs around here and decided to take a morning trip out to the National Museum of Natural History to see some fossils.

This is my favorite museum and no visit is complete without checking out the exhibit on human origins.

We had a low key super bowl party, consisting of some very tired kids and leftovers from a white elephant book exchange that I'd hosted that Friday.  Rocky knows exactly who to sit by in this family!
