Disney: Day 2
We headed straight back to the Magic Kingdom to ride the speedway race cars and re-ride Buzz Lightyear. The Buzz ride was a family favorite and we rode it 3 times during the course of the trip. (Note: I told Patrick that I was impressed with the bold side ponytail that he'd given Isla. I've never thought to do that with her hair and it seemed to have such purposeful sass. Apparently he'd actually been going for a regular pony and it just ended up waaay over there. For some reason I thought this was hilarious.)
When we came out of the ride, Buzz was just arriving!
Then we hopped the monorail to Epcot and enjoyed some great rides there. Bruce the shark was there to greet us after the Finding Nemo ride.
We ventured into the golf ball for Spaceship Earth, a slow, informative tour through the history of human communication. It scared the bejeezus out of Kellan and turned Brennan against classical music for life. It was dark and dramatic. Isla was upset too, but mainly due to her disappointment at the lack of mini-golf inside the golf ball. So that one was a bit of a bust.
Patrick took Brennan and Isla on Test Track while Kellan refused to nap on my back. It was too wild for Isla but she bounced back pretty well.
We ate lunch in Mexico (yum!) and then went on the temple ride, which had some sort of malfunction in the middle and stranded us in the boat for maybe 10 minutes or so.
Norway was fun, and is pretty much Frozenland now.
Anna and Elsa topiary.
We caught Pluto on the way out.
Well, most of us did.
Disney: Day 3
This was Animal Kingdom day and it was awesome. We arrived just as the park was opening and beelined for the safari tour. We didn't wait in line at all, made the 3rd jeep, and all of the animals (except for the lions) were out eating breakfast.
We got to brush some goats, which Isla loved.
We met Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
After the park we played two rounds of mini golf back at the condo.
This was our late night and we headed back to the Magic Kingdom to catch the 9pm fireworks. Our bedtime is 8 so this was a big deal. We got there just in time and the kids were so excited.
Daddy carrying his tired kiddos back to the car. They all passed out before we could drive the 8 miles home. What a fun day!
