Disney: Day 4
After our late night out we took a break on day 4 and relaxed.
Disney: Day 5
We arrived at Hollywood Studios early and booked it to the Toy Story ride. So did everyone else and even with our power walking we still had a half hour wait. It wasn't bad and the line was pretty entertaining.
Here we are occupying ourselves while waiting for the Disney Jr. show to start.
This one was really fun for the kids and they liked seeing some of their favorite tv characters.
We also watched the Beauty and Beast show, which was wonderful. We watched the movie the night before so the kids would know what was going on. Nothing like cramming at the last minute!
3-D Muppet Show. Brennan and Isla loved it. The first time something shot out from the screen Kellan swatted at it and snatched his glasses off. He watched the blurry version instead.
Some down time back at the ranch.
Disney: Day 6
This was our last day and we got there bright and early in order to race to the Anna and Elsa characters. I hadn't told Isla in advance because I didn't want to get her hopes up, and we arrived to find that the wait time was already an hour. I explained the situation to her and she insisted that she wanted to wait, so we split up and the boys went to the Swiss Family Robinson tree house and other rides while we met Anna and Elsa.
Cinderella's glass slipper.
Isla was absolutely thrilled.
Definitely worth the wait!
We all met up again for the Jungle Cruise.
And we went through the tree house again.
Country Bear Jamboree.
The people mover.
More speedway.
The kids were so excited to do the steering. Isla did a much better job than me at not continuously ricocheting off the central rail.
Brennan is counting down the days until his drivers license now, despite Patrick's assertion that driverless cars will be all the rage by the time he's of age.
Lunch stop.
Isla had her eye on these (overpriced) Mickey Mouse ice creams for the entire trip. We usually stopped at 7-11 or an ice cream shop on the way home each day for something more cost effective like dollar slurpees or reasonably priced frozen yogurt. But on the last day she got to enjoy over $4 of cold, rodent shaped sugar, and she loved every last bit of it!
We had such a wonderful and relaxing trip. The kids had so much fun and did a TON of walking without complaint. It was a very special time for us to spend together as a family and we're all glad that we went.
Our drive back was great and we actually made it in one day, (15 hours total time). Here we are running laps in a parking lot to burn off some energy during a quick pit stop. I love these guys. =)
