Last weekend we stopped by a local wine festival in Geilenkirchen. We met the McLallens (minus Colin) for a glass or two and then wandered around. We came across this mole who was accompanied by a man with a shovel. Patrick thought that the man had dug the mole out, but I thought he was the pooper scooper. It was bizarre but I made the boys stand there for a picture. You can see that Brennan was pretty freaked out. We ended up buying a tasty chardonnay and a pesto cheese.
There is currently some construction going on in Geilenkirchen, but instead of letting that interfere with the Weinfest, the construction zone was casually incorporated into the festival. One of the workers sat in the backhoe and supervised any child who wished to operate the machinery. Brennan loved it and it was so cute to see how intensely he focused.
